Avengers: Endgame is set to dethrone James Cameron’s 2009 sci-fi epic Avatar at the worldwide box office.
Endgame broke numerous box office records when it was released earlier this year. The big question on everyone’s mind, however, was if it would be able to dethrone Avatar to become the highest-grossing film of all time. And today, it will finally beat this record.
Avatar has held the record of the highest-grossing film of all time for nearly ten years with a $2,787,965,087 worldwide box office haul. However, Avengers: Endgame will soon beat Avatar‘s record. The film is less than $500,000 behind Avatar as of Friday and is expected to beat the record before the end of the weekend.
