New ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Concept Art Spotlights Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel Suit

Marvel Studios Director of Visual Development Andy Park revealed new concept art for Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel costume in Avengers: Endgame.

After making her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Captain Marvel, Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers finally joined Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in Avengers: Endgame. While Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel and the rest of the Avengers were unable to reverse Thanos’ decimation in the first act of Endgame, the powerful heroine played a crucial role in the battle for Earth that occurred five years and ultimately led to the Mad Titan being erased from existence.

For her appearances in the future, Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel wore a modified version of her suit and Marvel Studios Director of Visual Development Andy Park shared an approved concept illustration of the outfit on his official Instagram account. In the caption, Park explained that the thinking behind the new suit of Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel was to take elements from each version of the character in the comics, from Mar-Vell to Ms. Marvel, and combine into one outfit.

Finally I can show this! Here’s the approved concept design I did for Captain Marvel in Avengers: Endgame. I LOVED designing her original look in her solo film earlier this year. And what a blast it was to revisit her design trying to envision what her modern day look over 20 some years later would look like. I did a ton of different options. The thinking behind this one was essentially taking every look through the decades from the original (male) Captain Marvel to Ms Marvel to her modern day comic book look & combining them into one new original look. It was a fun exploration. #captainmarvel #avengers #avengersendgame #conceptart #characterdesign #costumedesign #illustration #그림 #그림스타그램 #일러스트 #일러스트그램 #marvel #marvelstudios #brielarson @brielarson
