Avengers: Endgame directors Anthony and Joe Russo reiterated their interest in directing a Wolverine film for Marvel Studios.

With the films rights to Wolverine and the X-Men now under the control of Marvel Studios in the wake of Disney’s acquisition of 21st Century Fox, fans are curious to see how the mutants will be incorporated into the MCU. Though official details were not provided during Marvel Studios’ Hall H presentation at San Diego Comic-Con, Kevin Feige confirmed Mutants would be part of the plans for future movies at the convention.

While Avengers: Endgame directors Anthony and Joe Russo concluded their time at Marvel Studios with the aforementioned superhero epic, the duo have previously expressed their interest in possibly returning to helm a Wolverine film. During a Reddit AMA session, the Russo Brothers reiterated their willingness to direct a Wolverine film when asked which superhero’s movie they want to direct:

“We’ve always loved us some Wolverine.”

Marvel Studios is reportedly in no rush to introduce the X-Men to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, meaning it will likely be some time before we learn what plans they have for Wolverine.
