A new piece of concept art from Avengers: Endgame puts the spotlight on Josh Brolin’s Thanos and his armored look.
During the opening moments of Avengers: Endgame, Josh Brolin’s Thanos dies at the hands of Thor after telling him and the rest of the Avengers that he has destroyed the Infinity Stones and there’s no way to undo the “decimation.” However, an alterate version of Thanos later appears in the movie while the Avengers travel to the past to collect the six stones before they’re destroyed by the Mad Titan.
Earlier this week, Avengers: Endgame concept artist Ian Joyner shared one of his designs for the movie, featuring the past version of Josh Brolin’s Thanos. The piece shows off an early look for his armor, with a much different helmet than the one seen in the movie.

Early warrior #Thanos design. Huge thanks, as always, to @ryan_meinerding_art (who designed both his incredible look and philosopher costume in IW) for letting me explore some takes on one of the great villains of the #MCU #infinitygauntlet was one of the comics I was most obsessed with as a kid, so getting to play around in that world for #avengersendgame and #infinitywar was a high point for me. I had a few other takes for his battle armor I will be posting in the future. The talented @jsmarantz did his imposing final armor design.
