Thanks to a new TV spot for Avengers: Endgame, it seems more and more likely that Pepper Potts may end up coming to the Avengers’ “rescue” after all.
We are just over a week out from Avengers: Endgame and new TV spots are dropping every day as we get closer to release. Some new footage from a recent spot adds Tony Stark’s bride to be, Pepper Potts, into a previously released from the Super Bowl footage released back in February. The original footage that was first debuted during the big game featured a shot where some of the remains Avengers were walking into a field, all looking upwards at something. The shot lead some to believe that someone may have been edited out of the scene, due to the obvious, human-sized gap between the rest of the Avengers. It wouldn’t be the first time that Marvel has done something like this though.
Now that some more footage from this scene has dropped, we can pretty confidently say that it appears to be Pepper Potts that was accompanying the other superheroes. While the magic of film editing could be, yet again, misleading us to keep us all on our feet and to avoid spoilers, I think it may be a little late in the game for those kinds of tactics. This also lends merit to the popular theory that Pepper Potts will suit up in her own Iron Man suit as the heroine, Rescue. The rumor was started back when Pepper Potts actress, Gwyneth Paltrow posted a picture of herself on set in armor that looked like a variation of the Rescue armor from the comics. But, we can’t know for sure until we see the movie in theaters.
