Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame received an Oscar nomination for Best Visual Effects.
The highly-anticipated Avengers: Endgame delivered countless moments comic book fans had dreamed of seeing in a live-action for years, including an incredible final battle that featured nearly every hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Of course, many of those fan-favorite scenes would not have been possible without the special effects wizards working behind the scenes.
Now, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has honored the Avengers: Endgame visual effects team with an Oscar nomination. The sole Oscar nomination for Avengers: Endgame places the Marvel Studios film in competition with The Irishman, The Lion King, 1917, and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
