In a recent interview with ComicBook.com, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige revealed that Avengers: Endgame will be getting a re-release in theaters with additional footage.
Avengers: Endgame is already the second highest-grossing film of all time at the worldwide box, sitting at $2.743 billion. While Avengers: Endgame has done extremely well, it seems that Marvel isn’t ready to stop just yet. For weeks, fans have been speculating that Endgame may fall short of becoming the highest-grossing film of all time, a record currently held by James Cameron’s Avatar.
While Avengers: Endgame’s box office returns have slowed down, Disney will soon re-release the film. While promoting Spider-Man: Far From Home, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige broke the news that Avengers: Endgame will be returning to theaters next week with additional footage.
Avengers: Endgame didn’t have a post-credits scene but rather a touching video that pays tribute to the original six Avengers. However Endgame will be back in theaters with new footage after its credits before the release of Spider-Man: Far From Home. Speaking with ScreenRant, Kevin Feige said the following about the re-release:
” Not an extended cut, but there will be a version going into theaters with a bit of a marketing push with a few new things at the end of the movie. If you stay and watch the movie, after the credits, there’ll be a deleted scene, a little tribute, and a few surprises. Which will be next weekend.”
Will you be going out to see these new scenes? What do you hope will be teased after the credits? Let us know your thoughts down below!
