‘Avengers: Endgame’ Fan Creates Diagram To Explain The Film’s Science

Warning: The following post contains major Avengers: Endgame spoilers!

A fan created a plot diagram to explain the science of Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame.

While Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame managed to deliver a number of welcomed surprises, fans who suspected our heroes would use the Quantum Realm to travel back in time and collect the stones to undo Thanos’ decimation were ultimately right. However, the Marvel Studios epic established time travel rules that were different than what audiences are used to from films such as Back to the Future, which may have left fans with more questions than answers about the logistics of the team’s journey through time. Fortunately, one fan has created a diagram that clearly outlines the different timelines created by our heroes’ mission to retrieve the stones from different periods:

“This diagram includes every jump out and jump in point on all the timelines. In my analysis, there are five parallel timelines after A:E, including one in which Thanos, Gamora, and Nebula vanished in 2014 and never returned; one in which Frigga may not have been killed; one in which Loki escaped with the Tesseract in 2012; and one in which Steve Rogers reappeared in the 1950’s, perhaps subsequently marrying Peggy Carter and foiling the plot by Hydra to infiltrate Shield.”

The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo,  Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau, Bradley Cooper, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Josh Brolin.

Avengers: Endgame will be released in theaters on April 26, 2019.
