Avengers fans are defending Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch after a new ranking of the team put the hero in a lower position.
Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch was briefly trending on Twitter after fans were fiercely defending the hero following her ranking in a tweet from Entertainment Weekly. The outlet challenged tweeters to create their own Avengers team for $15 following their ranking – but many fans were outraged that Scarlet Witch was only valued at $2. Given that her powers came from an Infinity Stone, it’s disappointing that she was ranked at the same level as Happy Hogan.

Many Avengers fans were quick to point out that Scarlet Witch’s low ranking makes her a bargain considering her incredible skill set. Many used the example of her fight against Thanos in Avengers: Endgame when defending her. While others pointed out that the ranking also forgot to include Captain Marvel, which feels like a sleight against the hero who’s set to lead the Marvel Cinematic Universe. One fan also pointed out that although Scarlet Witch is one of the most powerful Avengers, the ranking was likely done on popularity rather than skill level.

I think they did it based on popularity and not power. Scarlet Witch is top 3 most powerful heroes in the MCU.
