‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Concept Art Reveals Alternate Bucky Designs

Marvel fans can now check out a collection of alternate costume designs for Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) in this year’s Avengers: Infinity War thanks to a recent post online

Bringing any comic book character to the big screen is a long, difficult process. One part of this huge process is coming up with the costume designs for the characters. Some comic book characters come with quite a bit of history, especially many of those from the Marvel or DC franchises, including Bucky Barnes. This makes choosing the perfect costume design particularly difficult and now fans can have a look at that process thanks to some new concept art.

The discovery comes in a post from a Reddit user. In the art, fans can see a list of costumes almost worn by Bucky in Avengers: Infinity War and the designs vary greatly from image to image. Some are much darker and sleeker, while others are brighter and bulkier. Check out the post below to see the art and find out for yourself whether or not Marvel made the right call for the final cut of the film.

Although Bucky was one of the unfortunate casualties of Thanos’ (Josh Brolin) snap, the character is one of many that fans are expecting to see return in next year’s Avengers 4. Given the secrecy surrounding the project, fans will probably have to wait until the opening weekend to find out who will return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and who truly bit the dust for good.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding Avengers 4 and the entire MCU as soon as more information becomes available. Which design above do you think is the most interesting? Would you have rather seen Bucky wear that than what he ultimately wore in the final cut of the film? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

Avengers 4 is scheduled to be released in theaters on May 3, 2019.
