With Endgame coming out soon, if there’s one thing people haven’t forgotten about Avengers: Infinity War besides the snap, it’s Chris Pratt’s Star Lord screwing things up for the worst. You remember, right?
Just when it looked like the heroes on Titan had managed to subdue Thanos during the latter half of Infinity War, here comes Star Lord, furious about Gamora’s death. Rather than take time to process that — who could, really? — he lashes out and punches Thanos, thus ruining any momentum the heroes had. It didn’t help that Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord himself ended up as one of Thanos’ victims.
But the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy star is fully aware of Star-Lord’s faults and has accepted the blame. Chris Pratt, currently doing press for The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, sat down with Digital Spy and explained that even he himself was not happy with what Star-Lord did. He’s accepted those actions:
“Oh no, I’m not nervous at all about Endgame coming out. I think it’s totally true, and I personally feel the same as everyone else about Star-Lord. But I know things, ok? And I feel like audiences are gonna be blown away when this next film comes out”
Admittedly, a lot of time has passed since Infinity War, and some fans may have accepted that many, if not all, of the deaths will be undone by Endgame, so perhaps there will be some forgiveness on Star-Lord’s part. Lego Movie 2 co-star Elizabeth Banks even asked Chris Pratt if Star-Lord would be forgiven for what he did. Pratt had this to say:
“I don’t even know. Even if it’s not, it was worth it, because this is an experience for fans that truly never will be matched again in the history of cinema.”
Strong words indeed, but there’s a lot of anticipation going into Avengers: Endgame after the events of Infinity War. Whether Star-Lord’s actions were justified or not is up to you, but there’s no question at this point that it was still a boneheaded move when the heroes had Thanos right where they needed him. Ah well. That’s what time travel is all about, am I right?
So we’ll have to wait and see if Star-Lord slugging Thanos was worth it in the end. Do you feel that his actions were justifiable, or should he have gone about things differently? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part will hit theaters this Friday. Avengers: Endgame will arrive in theaters on April 26, 2019.

Here’s Every Hero Who Appears In The ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Trailer
Today, Marvel Studios released the first official trailer for Avengers: Endgame and revealed which heroes will likely be on hand for the re-match against Thanos.
Avengers: Infinity War united nearly every hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the showdown with Thanos and after a decade of films that proved to be an extensive roster. However, the Marvel Studios epic concluded with Thanos succeeding in his mission to acquire the Infinity Stones and use their power to erase half of the universe’s population, with many of the aforementioned heroes being included among the casualties. Fortunately, the original Avengers teammates survived Thanos’ decimation and it appears they will be joined by a few the new heroes who debuted since the group initially formed when they head into the second showdown with Thanos.
Iron Man
Captain America

Black Widow

Thor

Nebula

Ronin

Ant-Man
After the mid-credits scene for Ant-Man and the Wasp, many were theorizing that the Avengers would have to rescue Scott Lang from the Quantum Realm and subsequently use the alternate dimension to travel back in time to defeat Thanos. While it appears Scott Lang managed to escape on his own, he may have brought the van containing the way to the Quantum Realm to the Avengers’ front door.
Bruce Banner
While the Hulk was absent from the first Avengers: Endgame trailer, Bruce Banner managed to make a brief appearance. The brilliant scientist could be seen assessing the list of casualties of Thanos’ decimation and it has clearly taken an emotional toll.
