‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Will Feature ‘A Good Amount’ Of Earth

Thanos Avengers Infinity WarMarvel’s Avengers: Infinity War is meant to be a cosmic and epic film, where each corner of the MCU unites to defeat Thanos, whether that be on Earth or in space. That means that we’ll be seeing a wide array of planets in the film, including Earth. We saw in the trailer that premiered at D23 that some of the Avengers will be on a different planet at some point, but we’re not sure if all of them will leave Earth.

During the Marvel Press Line at San Diego Comic-Con, Cinema Blend got the chance to ask director Joe Russo how much of the film takes place on Earth,

“A good amount. It’s a lot of different narratives driving towards each other. A lot of different characters, so you have to tell a lot of story. And it’s a good mix between space and Earth.”

Knowing that Infinity War is the largest movie in the MCU to date, it makes sense that the film will focus on multiple narratives that take place in their own respective locations. It’ll be interesting to see which characters get to leave Earth and which stay, as it’ll definitely impact their character arc.

Best MCU VillainsThe Marvel Cinematic Universe is a branching property. With its stories being told across film and television this juggernaut of a franchise has introduced many characters throughout the years, including superheroes, side characters and anti-heroes, but some of the most interesting are certainly the villains.

Villains are important to give the hero someone to face and to allow them to be heroic, but they should also be their own characters. They shouldn’t exist solely for the hero, but on their own terms. While the MCU has had some bumps along the road when it comes to villains there have been a few that have really shined as unique and interesting.
