‘Avengers: Infinity War’: Gwyneth Paltrow Teases Pepper Potts In Action

Gwyneth Paltrow will be back in 'Avengers Infinity War' as Pepper Potts, but will she be joining the fight? Thanks to Stephen Colbert, we have the answer.

Though she was missing from the last film to feature most of The Avengers in Captain America: Civil War, Gwyneth Paltrow did pop back up in the MCU as Pepper Potts in the last year’s Spider-Man: Homecoming. It was a small scene, but with confirmation that Potts will be back in Avengers: Infinity War, the question of how much involvement the character will have still remains.

In a recent interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Paltrow did say that she’ll be back for the big team-up. Not exactly a huge spoiler, but things became interesting once Colbert did a little bit of digging as to whether or not Potts will have some powers left over from Iron Man 3. By the end of Iron Man 3, Potts did give up her powers caused by the virus. However, that doesn’t mean we won’t see Potts in action.

“You know, to be totally honest, I’m unclear. Because it’s so secretive and it’s all on green screen, and I’m not exactly sure. And they don’t let me say anything.”

That seems fair — at first.

“Is there any chance, at any point, when you were working on the movie, did you thrust your hand toward someone wearing a blue suit with ping pong balls on it?” Colbert asked.

To that, Paltrow conceded. Surely she’d know of what movements she made on set.

“Yes,” she responded.

“Then you still have powers,” Colbert said. “It’s official.”

Though Colbert was right in his questioning, he may have been off by a hair. Paltrow might have admitted to thrusting her hand toward an enemy, but that doesn’t necessarily mean powers. We’ve seen Potts make use of Iron Man armor before, so it’s very possible that we see her use it once again in Infinity War. You can  check out the full interview below:
