Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War ends in an incredible fashion. After Thanos (Josh Brolin) gets his hands on all six Infinity Stones, he snaps his fingers and allows half of all existence to turn into dust in the wind.
Through Thanos’ actions, we see heroes such as White Wolf (Sebastian Stan), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Groot (Vin Diesel), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Mantis (Pom Klementieff), Drax (Dave Bautista), Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Spider-Man (Tom Holland) evaporate as the surviving Avengers realize that they have lost their battle against Thanos.
But given the fact that Thanos’ snap indicates that half of *all* existence in the universe has been erased, many other characters within the Marvel Cinematic Universe would also disappear. Thankfully, Anthony and Joe Russo have officially confirmed the fates of numerous off-screen characters following Thanos’ snap.
While speaking with the Huffington Post, the Russo Brothers revealed what happened to some of the supporting players in the numerous MCU films. For example, Howard the Duck (Seth Green) and Aunt May (Marisa Tomei) were both confirmed to have survived while characters such as Actor Loki (Matt Damon), Betty Ross (Liv Tyler) and Lady Sif (Jamie Alexander) were all confirmed to be dead.
But what’s most interesting was that the fates of characters such as Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), Korg (Taika Waititi), Miek, Shuri (Letitia Wright) and Ned (Jacob Batalon) were deemed to be too much into spoiler territory whereas the fate of Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) remains unknown.
In regards to the unconfirmed fates mentioned above, do you think that these particular characters will play a part in the untitled fourth Avengers film? Sound off in the comments below, and be sure to continue following Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news in the MCU.
