‘Avengers: Infinty War’ Stars Did Not Receive The Full Script

Avengers: Infinity War will unite the heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the battle against Thanos, with Elizabeth Olsen set to return as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch. Of course, Olsen can’t divulge any details on the highly anticipated film, revealing that the cast did not receive complete scripts during her appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Olsen explained that the script she received was limited to her own material:

“This time, they actually decided to not give us scripts. They gave me my pages and then they explained other things that are happening.”

Olsen added that she will be surprised when she finally views the film:

“I’ll be so shocked and surprised. I’ll be like ‘Oh I see, that’s what was happening to the world at that time.’”

Given Marvel Studios’ penchant for secrecy, it’s not too surprising to hear that the cast was kept in the dark, especially considering the film has been touted as the culmination of the MCU story with the possibility of the major character deaths.

As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Pom Klementieff, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Holland, Sebastian Stan, Chadwick Boseman, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Benedict Wong, Tom Hiddleston, Tessa Thompson, Benicio Del Toro, Danai Gurira and Josh Brolin.

Avengers: Infinity War will be released in theaters on May 4, 2018.

Top 5 Moments From D23’s ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Sneak Peek

Disney broke the internet on Saturday when they showed the first footage from Avengers: Infinity War at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, CA. Lucky for all you guys, I was in the room and made a mental list of all the best moments from the teaser. While the movie only just reached the production half-way mark, the footage director Joe Russo showed to the audience still included some epic moments.

It wasn’t a trailer per se — more so just a compilation of random moments designed to excite the audience. Whatever you want to call it, it did a great job of expressing how emotionally charged this movie will be. Remember, this is the conclusion of nearly ten years worth of stories, so expect some big action and tear jerking moments as Marvel Studios starts to shift towards Phase 4 and a new game plan.
