Avengers: Infinity War will unite several heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the ultimate battle against the ruthless Thanos. Billed as the culmination of the MCU saga to date, the film will feature a number of connections to previous Marvel Studios films. Now, a new set photo from Edinburgh, Scotland reveals a connection to one of the most ominous scenes featured in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
MCU News & Tweets has discovered a set photo featuring a statue of an Asgardian that fans may remember was included in the scene where Thor experiences a vision of Heimdall warning him of Asgard’s demise and their descent into Hel.

No details on the sequence being filmed are available, though the inclusion of this statue certainly hints that while Hela will make her debut in Thor: Ragnarok, perhaps the threat of the Goddess of Death will not be resolved by the film’s ending.
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautisa, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Pom Klementieff, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Holland, Sebastian Stan, Chadwick Boseman, Samuel L. Jackson, Tom Hiddleston, Benicio Del Toro and Josh Brolin.
Avengers: Infinity War will be released in theaters on May 4, 2018.
