‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’: Maximoff Twins Reunite At Film Festival

Avengers Age of Ultron Maximoff Twins

Sometimes they’re brother and sister, sometimes they’re a married couple, and sometimes they’re just friends. Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, paired together as Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver in Avengers: Age of Ultron- and the mid-credits scene of Captain America: The Winter Soldier- as well as plying a married couple in the 2014 Godzilla film, recently met up again at a film festival.

A bullet may have been what pried the Maximoff twins apart in Avengers: Age of Ultron- you saw that coming, right?- Olsen and Taylor-Johnson, as well as Johnson’s wife, were spotted together at the InStyle party at the Toronto International Film Festival. Here, have a look at the Maximoff pairing reunited in the tweet below.

And while there’s no word on whether Quicksilver would ever return- time travel could fix that- perhaps he could be in a future flashback sequence? Stranger things have happened and we’ve seen the likes of Peggy Carter pop up in dream sequences and flashbacks. In the meantime, there’s also the other Quicksilver you can see in the X-Men universe, with Evan Peters still speeding along in the role.

Indeed, would you ever want to see Quicksilver brought back to life in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? What would that mean for his sacrifice made in Avengers: Age of Ultron? Or rather, should he be limited to flashbacks, if at all? Let us know your thoughts and ideas in the comments below.

Avengers: Age of Ultron was directed by Joss Whedon and starred Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Cobie Smulders, Anthony Mackie, Hayley Atwell, Idris Elba, Stellan Skarsgård, James Spader, and Samuel L. Jackson.

The film is available now on Digital HD, 4K, Blu-Ray, and DVD.
