I know what you’re thinking. ‘There they go again, reporting fan art as news.’ Well, given how close the Avengers came in Infinity War, who is to say that Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man wouldn’t eventually wield the Infinity Gauntlet? One fan seems to think so based on some, well, fan-art for Avengers: Endgame.
The “Marvel en Español” account on Instagram shared a photo a few days ago showcasing Mr. Tony Stark in his Iron Man armor and wielding Thanos’ Infinity Gauntlet. In a collage behind him are the various people who have impacted his life, ranging from Pepper Potts to Rhodey to Peter Parker to Happy Hogan to Yinsen to even that annoying little kid, Keener, from Iron Man 3. You know, because they’re connected. If Tony is to make the ultimate sacrifice, chances are he would be remembering these people in particular.
Here, have a look at Iron Man holding the sacred item in the Avengers: Endgame fan-art below:
Chances are that if Iron Man ever were to wear the Infinity Gauntlet in Avengers: Endgame, he would need to actually get it from Thanos first. And he doesn’t have Mantis around to help him. But he also doesn’t have Star-Lord to be the one to muck up the entire plan, so that’s a plus for him at least. However, based on the trailer, Tony Stark is left drifting in space, so he’ll have to get back to safety before even thinking about how he’ll get his hands on that Gauntlet.
Still, though, what do you think of the fan-art? Do you think that if any of the Avengers were to wield it, that it would be Tony Stark? And if so, do you believe that could play into the second battle with Thanos? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
Avengers: Endgame will hit theaters on April 26, 2019.

Here’s Every Hero Who Appears In The ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Trailer
Today, Marvel Studios released the first official trailer for Avengers: Endgame and revealed which heroes will likely be on hand for the re-match against Thanos.
Avengers: Infinity War united nearly every hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the showdown with Thanos and after a decade of films that proved to be an extensive roster. However, the Marvel Studios epic concluded with Thanos succeeding in his mission to acquire the Infinity Stones and use their power to erase half of the universe’s population, with many of the aforementioned heroes being included among the casualties. Fortunately, the original Avengers teammates survived Thanos’ decimation and it appears they will be joined by a few the new heroes who debuted since the group initially formed when they head into the second showdown with Thanos.
Iron Man
Captain America

Black Widow

Thor

Nebula

Ronin

Ant-Man
After the mid-credits scene for Ant-Man and the Wasp, many were theorizing that the Avengers would have to rescue Scott Lang from the Quantum Realm and subsequently use the alternate dimension to travel back in time to defeat Thanos. While it appears Scott Lang managed to escape on his own, he may have brought the van containing the way to the Quantum Realm to the Avengers’ front door.
Bruce Banner
While the Hulk was absent from the first Avengers: Endgame trailer, Bruce Banner managed to make a brief appearance. The brilliant scientist could be seen assessing the list of casualties of Thanos’ decimation and it has clearly taken an emotional toll.
