Avengers: Endgame star Robert Downey Jr. is excited to see what Robert Pattinson does in The Batman.
2019 was one heck of a year for Robert Downey Jr. The year saw him take the lead role in Avengers: Endgame which has since become the highest-grossing film of all time and made Robert Downey Jr.’s character, Iron Man, one of the most recognizable superheroes in existence. But now the Avengers: Endgame star wants to see what another actor can do with another superhero role.
Robert Downey Jr. was appearing on the Joe Rogan Experience the subject of Batman and Robert Pattinson came up. Joe Rogan commented on just how many people played Batman over the years. The Avengers: Endgame star then stated that he wanted to see what Robert Pattinson would do with the role:
“I wanna see what Pattinson does. I like that guy.”

Full plot details for The Batman are currently under wraps, though the film will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and feature a Rogues’ Gallery of villains that includes Catwoman, The Penguin, and The Riddler. The Matt Reeves film will follow Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector and will make use of the Dark Knight’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC films. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new trilogy with Robert Pattinson as Batman.
Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, Jayme Lawson as Bella, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Colin Farrell as the Penguin, and Peter Sarsgaard.
Robert Pattinson’s The Batman will be released in theaters on June 25, 2021.
