Avengers star Samuel L. Jackson has signed on to lend his voice to Amazon’s Alexa devices.
Seven years ago, Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury fulfilled his dream of assembling a team of heroes in Marvel Studios’ The Avengers. Since then, Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury has served a guiding figure for many members of the Avengers team.
Now, fans can receive assistance from Samuel L. Jackson as well as the Avengers star has signed on as the first celebrity voice for Amazon’s Alexa devices. The official blog post for Amazon offers fans insight into what they can expect from Samuel L. Jackson’s Alexa voice:
“[He] can tell you jokes, let you know if it’s raining, set timers and alarms, play music and more – all with a bit of his own personality.”
For those wondering if they will hear the colorful language Samuel L. Jackson is known for in projects outside of the Avengers films, Amazon plans to release “explicit and non-explicit” versions of his Amazon Alexa voice. Samuel L. Jackson’s Amazon Alexa voice will be added as a new feature available as a 99-cent upgrade.
