‘Avengers’ Stars Attend Opening Of Joe Russo’s New Restaurant

Avengers Infinity War Marvel

Variety reports that Avengers cast members and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige were among those who attended the opening of Joe Russo’s new restaurant Simone.

Located in the arts district of downtown Los Angeles, the opening party guests included Avengers stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Don Cheadle, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, and Marvel family members Jon Favreau and Taika Waititi. Community stars Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs and Yvette Nicole Brown were also in attendance, having worked with Russo on 21 episodes of the comedy series.

Russo made the following comment on the opening of his restaurant:

“We wanted to be disruptive and do something different — it’s called the Arts District for a reason. I love the energy, what Bestia did, what they’re doing with Bavel and Rossoblu. Some of my favorite restaurants are downtown now.”

Inspired by his travels as a filmmaker, Russo explained that the restaurant offers his favorite experiences in one setting:

“The whole space is curated based off of the experience I have as a diner, being fortunate as a filmmaker to be able to travel the world — to select my favorite experiences from around the world, and try to combine them into one space.”

Many of those who attended the opening are set to reprise their respective roles in the untitled fourth Avengers film.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers 4 is expected to star Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Josh Brolin and Chris Pratt.

Avengers 4 is scheduled to be released in theaters on May 3, 2019.
