Baby Groot, one of the cutest characters to have been introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, stands on a pile of dynamite in a new Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 international Japanese poster. He holds a matchstick in his hand while he waves happily.
Dave Bautista, who plays Drax, recently admitted that he and Baby Groot will never really get along and that their relationship will be more like that of quarreling siblings.
At least Baby Groot has Rocket and the rest of the team on his side. Now that he’s pint-sized, the Guardians will have to be especially protective him; also, they have to make sure that Baby Groot’s not running around wreaking havoc. If the poster is any indication, the baby tree will be keeping everyone on their toes.
Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will be in theaters May 5, 2017.
