The 70th annual British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) took place in London, England today at the Royal Albert Hall, with Stephen Fry hosting.
La La Land took home the grand prize for Best Film and Damien Chazelle nabbed the Best Director award for the film as well.
Some fun surprises was Tom Holland’s win for The Rising Star Award. The actor will next be seen in Spider-Man: Homecoming and he also started filming on Avengers: Infinity War.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them got the award for Best Production Design.

Best British Short Animation: A Love Story
Best British Short Film: Home
The EE Rising Star Award: Tom Holland
Best Original Music: Justin Hurwitz, La La Land
Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer in 2017: Under the Shadow, Babak Anvari (writer/director), and Emily Leo, Oliver Roskill and Lucan Toh (producers)
In just two weeks, the Oscars will be handing out awards and many of the BAFTA winners are also nominated.
