Warner Bros. Studios and DC Entertainment have partnered with Fathom Events to host a special, one-night cinema event for Batman and Harley Quinn on August 14.
The latest installment to the DC Animated Universe features Batman and Nightwing enlisting the help of their nemesis Harley Quinn as they try to foil a plot by Poison Ivy which could bring about a verdant apocalypse.
The film is directed by Sam Liu (Batman: The Killing Joke) from an original story from the legendary Bruce Timm who co-created Harley Quinn along with Paul Dini. Timm co-wrote the story with Jim Krieg (Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox) and also serves as exec producer on the project along with Sam Register, Benjamin Melniker and Michael Uslan. Alan Burnett (The Batman) also co-produces.
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Vice President of Family and Animation Marketing Mary Ellen Thomas released a statement:
“Fans of DC Universe Original Movies are a devoted legion, and never was that so evident than with the enthusiastic embracing of our ‘Batman: The Killing Joke’ Fathom Events presentation. Audiences nationwide turned the screenings into true interactive experiences, and we believe Batman and Harley Quinn will inspire a similar night of celebration.”
In addition to the film, audiences at the one-night screening will be the first to see an exclusive featurette spotlighting the film’s star character, Harley Quinn.
Tickets for Batman and Harley Quinn will be available beginning Friday, June 30 at www.FathomEvents.com or at participating theater box offices. The complete list of theater locations will be available June 30 on the Fathom Events website.

“In Batman and Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy and Jason Woodrue (a.k.a. The Floronic Man) embark on an ecological quest to save the planet – and, unfortunately, eliminate most of humankind along the way. To save humanity, Batman and Nightwing are forced to enlist Harley Quinn to catch Poison Ivy, Harley’s BFF and frequent partner-in-crime. But Batman’s patience is put to the test by the unpredictable and untrustworthy Harley during the twists and turns the reluctant companions face during their bumpy road trip. The result is a thrill ride of action, adventure and comedy no Batman fan has seen before.”
Batman and Harley Quinn will be available on Digital HD August 15 followed by the Blu-Ray and DVD release on August 29.
