See The Batman Family Get Impressive New ‘Power Rangers’ Redesign

Go, go Batman rangers!

Batman Power Rangers

The Batman family of heroes get a surprising Power Rangers redesign from Dan Mora, the artist working on the BOOM! Studios books.

Everyone loves seeing mashups of their favorite comic book heroes, the Amalgam Comics imprint of the 1990s is undeniably evidence of that. Although this time some of DC’s most famous characters get redesigned using a completely new universe. The artist behind BOOM! Studios’ Power Rangers series, Dan Mora, brilliantly gave Batman and his family a set of stunning new costumes inspired by the Rangers. Comic readers might remember that the team has previously crossed over with DC during Justice League/Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers written by Tom Taylor with art by Stephen Byrne back in 2017.

Dan Mora has unveiled his new Power Rangers inspired Batman designs on Instagram over the last few weeks, showcasing what some of the iconic costumes could look like with a mecha twist. From Sentai Batman and Robin’s Kamen-Ranger to Tokusatsu-Nightwing and a stunning look for Red Hood. The colorful Batman family redesigns honor the heroes classic costumes, with the Dark Knight’s purple gloves and the yellow flairs on Nightwing’s armor. Given how intricate these new suits are, it’d be criminal not to see another Power Rangers crossover with the DC universe at some point in the future. Give us a solo series for that Red Hood design! Mora also teased that he’ll be taking on Batgirl next, so keep an eye out for that one. Take a look below.

What do you think of all the Batman Power Rangers redesigns? Do you think Power Rangers artist Dan Mora should get a shot at giving these costumes their own story in the comics? Sound-off in the comments below!

Plot details for The Batman are being kept under under lock and key but the project will be centered on Robert Pattinson as a younger Bruce Wayne, chronicling the titular hero during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector. The Batman will also feature the Dark Knight making use of his detective skills more than what we’ve seen before in previous iterations of the character. It is expected to be the first chapter in a Batman trilogy starring Pattinson.

Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, the film stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.

The Batman arrives in theaters on October 1, 2021. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news regarding Robert Pattinson and the DC Comics movie, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more exclusive video content.
