Digital artist Dalton Barrett imagines what Robert Pattinson could look like as Ben Affleck’s Batman replacement with a photo inspired by DC Comics’ The Button Part One.
Earlier this month, it was reported Robert Pattinson is the frontrunner to replace Ben Affleck as Batman in the Caped Crusader’s new film from director Matt Reeves. While Robert Pattinson has reportedly yet to officially sign onto The Batman, fans have already begun creating images that offer a hint at the Twilight alum could look like as Ben Affleck’s successor. Now, digital artist Dalton Barett has unveiled a fan-made image of Robert Pattinson’s Batman that recreates the comic book cover for DC’s The Button Part One, which served as a buildup towards the Doomsday Clock event.

Plot details for The Batman are currently under wraps, though the film will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and featured a Rogues’ Gallery of villains that reportedly includes Catwoman. Matt Reeves also confirmed that it will not be directly based on Frank Miller’s Year One comic and will make use of the Dark Knight’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC Films.
The Batman is one of the many projects currently being developed by Warner Bros. and DC. These projects include The Flash standalone film, Green Lantern Corps, Black Adam, Cyborg, Supergirl, New Gods, and Nightwing.
