While we’re counting down the days until Batman v Superman arrives, Matt Damon is imagining the Caped Crusader going head-to-head with another cinematic icon– Jason Bourne. And he seems pretty confident about who would win.
“Jason Bourne would kick the sh*t out of Batman, absolutely! Batman’s gotta take on Superman first. If he could beat him, then maybe he could take on Jason Bourne. I haven’t been like, ‘Come on, dude, just do it once,’ I haven’t asked him to talk Batman yet, but now maybe I will. I think they’re kind of out of superheroes, Ben’s going to be like the sixth or seventh Batman, so I don’t think there’s really any left. So I’m good. Jason Bourne is my superhero.”
Matt Damon told E! Online while at TIFF 2015 this weekend to promote his upcoming film The Martian.
No offense, Matt, but we’d put our money on Ben Affleck’s Batman if he was up against Bourne… I mean, come on, have you heard his voice? In all seriousness, though, could we see Matt Damon in a comic-book movie sometime down the road? Maybe. He’s definitely a big name and has the experience for it. For now, though, he’s wrapped up in shooting the fifth installment in the Bourne franchise.
