The CW’s ‘Batwoman’ Pilot Rounds Out Its Supporting Cast

The CW Ruby Rose Elseworlds Arrowverse Batwoman Smallville Batman

Having left her mark on the Arrowverse during the “Elseworlds” crossover, Ruby Rose’s Batwoman pilot on the CW is rounding out the rest of its key players for the DC series.

According to a report from Deadline, Meagan Tandy, Camrus Johnson, and Nicole Kang have all been cast in supporting roles in the CW Batwoman series.  Meagan Tandy will take on the role of Sophie Moore, a highly-ranked agent in Gotham City who has a particular interest in Ms. Kate Kane. Camrus Johnson will Luke Fox, son of Lucius Fox, who currently works in Wayne Tower. If you’ll recall, while not being named, Luke Fox was hinted at by Kate Kane during Supergirl, Flash, and Arrow’s visit to Gotham City in “Elseworlds.”

Finally, Nicole Kang will take on the role of Kate Kane’s stepsister, Mary Hamilton. And while the two may not always see eye-to-eye on things, Hamilton does have more in common with Batwoman than she realizes.

With Batwoman taking place on Earth-1, it will be interesting to see if there is or isn’t a brief cameo by a neighboring show, similar to how Barry Allen traveled to Star City to talk with Oliver Queen on the series premiere of The Flash. Admittedly, it’s more likely that Kate Kane would visit Kara Danvers, given their bonding moment, but she doesn’t exactly have a way to get to Earth-38 yet. But that’s why we have the annual CW crossovers. Still, though, what do you think of the cast for Batwoman so far?

Do you hope the series receives a full season pick-up? And would you want to see Ruby Rose’s Batwoman interact with other heroes in the Arrowverse again? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and stay tuned for more Batwoman updates.
