A new featurette released for Disney’s upcoming live-action adaptation of the animated classic Beauty and the Beast takes you inside the film putting the spotlight on the iconic character of Belle.
The cast and director Bill Condon explain how Belle has been given new layers and dimensions in order to update her for the 21st century to empower a whole new generation of young women.

The film stars Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as the Beast, Luke Evans as Gaston, Josh Gad as Le Fou, Ewan McGregor as Lumière, Sir Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, Kevin Kline as Belle’s father Maurice, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette. Here’s the official synopsis:
