Brand new photos show former Batman actor Ben Affleck back in superhero shape in Brentwood, California.

After Ben Affleck left the Batman role behind to pursue other projects, you could tell he wasn’t as interested in keeping up the superhero body that came with the job. After all, keeping a physique like that is a 24/7 job that controls everything you eat and do. So, we can’t blame the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League star for letting a bit loose.

However, Ben Affleck is looking better than ever in these photos that reveal that he’s back in Batman shape. The pictures were taken by Just Jared and feature Ben Affleck doing various activities such as being on the phone and hanging out with his mother.

Ever since Ben Affleck left Batman as both an actor and director, his schedule has freed up quite a bit. For now, Ben Affleck appears to be going back to starring in mid-budget drama films like the upcoming erotic thriller Deep Water. There’s no indication if Ben Affleck has any plans to direct anything new, though it’s always a pleasure to see him in the director’s chair. Now that Ben Affleck is no longer Batman, Robert Pattinson is replacing him with filmmaker Matt Reeves directing the character’s next cinematic solo outing.

Ben Affleck was last seen as Batman in Justice League. Here’s the official synopsis for the movie:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.

Justice League is now available on Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital HD. Stay tuned for the latest news on Ben Affleck and the future of the DC Extended Universe!
