A new concept design for Ezra Miller’s The Flash movie shows Batman actor Ben Affleck with the DC Rebirth Batsuit.
Following the incredible news that Ben Affleck is returning to play Batman in The Flash, this fan edit puts him in a live-action version of the DC Rebirth Batsuit. The news arrived with The Flash helmer Andy Muschietti explaining that Ben Affleck’s Batman will act as a mentor for Ezra Miller’s Scarlet Speedster. Since the film is adapting portions of the Flashpoint storyline which sees Barry Allen travelling back in time to save his mother, it’s no wonder the Fastest Man Alive confides in another established hero who lost his mother at an early age.
The concept design of Ben Affleck’s Batman in the DC Rebirth Batsuit comes from digital artist spdrmnkyxxiii, who gave the character a stunning new suit for his return in The Flash. It combines the costume we last saw Affleck wear in Justice League, with the gold trimmed look from the DC Rebirth comics. Affleck was apparently quite open to returning to the role for Ezra Miller’s The Flash according to producer Barbara Muschietti. The fan art also gives Batman a more detailed cowl, as well as gold highlights on his gauntlets to match the belt and chest symbol.
