Legendary artist Bill Sienkiewicz took to Twitter to reveal several incredible concept sketches for The Batman poster he created.

After the world recently celebrated Batman Day, The Batman director Matt Reeves shared an incredible poster from famed comic artist Bill Sienkiewicz for the Robert Pattinson film. It used the film’s bright red background with the Caped Crusader imposed over an alleyway. It’s a striking poster, but it nearly had a completely different look, with Sienkiewicz revealing his earlier sketches for the design on Twitter.

The sketches all fit the moody style of The Batman, but the first two designs in particular match the upcoming film perfectly. The first uses an outline of the Dark Knight which stems out of Gotham itself while the second design fills Batman’s shadow with a stunning skyline. The other designs are closer to Bill Sienkiewicz’s final poster, with a tall imposing version of the hero set against the bat symbol shining in the sky. Hopefully, we’ll get more promotional material for The Batman now that production has resumed. Take a look at the poster concepts from Bill Sienkiewicz below.

What do you think of the poster designs? Are you excited to see Robert Pattinson in the role? What else do you want to see from the film? Sound-off in the comments below!

Plot details for The Batman are being kept under lock and key, but we know that the project will revolve around Robert Pattinson as a younger Bruce Wayne, chronicling Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector. The Batman will also feature the hero making use of his detective skills more than what we’ve seen before in previous iterations of the character. It is also expected to be the first installment to a new Batman trilogy with Pattinson.

Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, the film stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.

The Batman arrives in theaters on October 1, 2021. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news regarding the Batman universe, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content.
