The cast of Warner Bros. and DC’s Birds of Prey continues to grow.
The Wrap has revealed that Ali Wong and Robert Catrini have joined the cast of DC’s all-female team-up movie. The trade mentions that Wong is set to play an associate of Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez) in Gotham law enforcement, but Catrini’s role is being kept under wraps.
Birds of Prey is set to begin filming early next year under the direction of Cathy Yan. The project sees the return of Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, with Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Jurnee Smollett-Bell joining the DC Extended Universe as Huntress and Black Canary, respectively. Ewan McGregor plays the film’s lead bad guy, Black Mask.
Margot Robbie is producing Birds of Prey alongside Sue Kroll and Bryan Unkeless. The project centers around the titular team of female heroes and villains based on the DC Comics characters and concepts created by Jordan B. Gorfinkel and Chuck Dixon.
The film’s cast also includes Ella Jay Basco, Steven Williams, Derek Wilson, Dana Lee, Francois Chau and Matthew Willig
