‘Black Panther’ Easter Egg Found In ‘Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’

Black Panther Assassins Creed Marvel

A Black Panther Easter Egg has been spotted in the vast world of Ubisoft’s latest installment in the Assassin’s Creed franchise.

Fans of Black Panther remember the scene in the film that has T’Challa fighting against challengers for the right to be king. This match took place in a badass ritualistic waterfall cove on a cliffside. All the leaders of Wakanda would watch on as their next ruler would be crowned. The scene set the tone for the film and showed audiences the true tenacity of the Black Panther and how strong T’Challa really is. The folks over at IGN, in their quest to unlock the secrets of Odyssey, have found something that will get all the Black Panther fans feeling very nostalgic for that infamous early scene in the film. You can check out the video here.

As you can see, located in Messera at the Gortyn Waterfall location, there can be two individuals seen fighting in a very similar location in front of a crowd. The game is set in ancient Greece and not in the fictional kingdom of Wakanda. But the resemblance between the two locations as you soar over it in your updated Eagle Vision is uncanny. It does appear, however, that this particular spot can’t retract in and out of the cliffside at the press of a button. Ah, if only the Spartans had Vibranium, the possibilities. The rest of the video showcases that Odyssey’s main character, Kassandra, may be a fitting match for Black Panther as he makes easy work of the two individuals in the shallow waters.

Does this easter egg remind you of Black Panther? Have you spotted any other easter eggs in Assassins Creed Odyssey? Please let us know in the comments.
