In the Black Widow footage screened at the D23 Expo, Scarlett Johansson’s Natasha was shown donning this new white suit towards the end of the footage. Yelena Bolova (Florence Pugh) made fun of Natasha for her doing a cliched superhero pose every time she lands. We then see Natasha in the white suit doing such acrobatics and landing with the pose on a bridge.
What do you make of this concept art? Do you like seeing Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow donning a white suit compared to her past black suits? How do you hope it translates onscreen when she is in action? Sound off in the comments below.
Full plot details on Black Widow are currently under wraps, though it has been revealed that the film is set after the events of Captain America: Civil War and will see Scarlett Johansson’s Nathasha Romanoff take on the villainous Taskmaster. The film will also mark the MCU debut of Yelena Belova, the second modern-era character to use the Black Widow title in the comics.
Directed by Cate Shortland from a script written by Jac Schaeffer and Ned Benson, Black Widow stars Scarlett Johansson, David Harbour, Florence Pugh, O-T Fagbenle, and Rachel Weisz. Production is currently underway.
Black Widow will be released in theaters on May 1, 2020. Stay tuned for the latest news on the Scarlett Johansson movie!
