The Mandalorian season two is only two episodes in so far, but a spin-off series focusing on Boba Fett reportedly starts filming soon.

Warning! Spoilers ahead for The Mandalorian season two.

A new report from Deadline suggests that a Boba Fett miniseries begins filming next week after the character was teased in the premiere episode of The Mandalorian season two. Timothy Olyphant’s Cobb Vanth is introduced wearing the bounty hunter’s armor, before handing it over to Din Djarin for helping him kill the Krayt Dragon. But at the end of the premiere, a mysterious bald man played by Temuera Morrison was shown spying on Djarin and Baby Yoda/The Child. Obviously the insinuation there was that the actor has returned to play the iconic character after playing his father Jango Fett in Attack of the Clones.

Deadline revealed that Lucasfilm begins filming its Boba Fett spin-off next week before the third season of The Mandalorian starts production between the end of November and the beginning of December. Boba Fett’s solo cinematic adventures have long been discussed, with both Josh Trank and James Mangold attached to direct his own movie before the project was cancelled in the wake of Solo‘s disappointing reception.
