Brand New ‘The LEGO Batman Movie’ Trailer Released

A new fourth trailer for the upcoming LEGO Batman Movie has been released online today.

This trailers focuses on the life of Batman, showing his daily routine and pointing out just how lonely Batman is. That is until the trailer introduces Robin, as well as a new interpretation of Barbara Gordon now the new police commissioner.

The trailer definitely keeps the humor that was in LEGO Movie making reference to the LEGO worlds and Batman using exaggerated terminology for why he can build just about any device in any situation.

Check out the new trailer below:

Will Arnett reprises his role from The LEGO Movie as the voice of Batman. Zach Galifianakis voices The Joker, Michael Cera is Robin, Rosario Dawson as Barbara Gordon and Ralph Riennes as Alfred.

The film is directed by Chris McKay, with Dan Lin, Roy Lee, Phil Lord and Chris Miller. It is written by Seth Grahame-Smith and Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers, with addition material by Jared Stern & John Whittingon.

The LEGO Batman Movie opens in theaters on February 10, 2017. More LEGO movies will release with The LEGO Ninjago Movie in 2018 and The LEGO Movie Sequel planned for 2019.

This is looking like an excellent followup to Lego Movie. On the surface it looks extremely fun, self deprecating, tongue-in-cheek. Underneath there seems to be a deep psychological evaluation of Batman as a character. I’m in.
