Superman actor Brandon Routh took to social media to tease something “fun” for his final season of Legends of Tomorrow.
Years after portraying the Man of Steel in Superman Returns, Brandon Routh returned to the world of DC as Ray Palmer / Atom in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. However, the upcoming fifth season of Legends of Tomorrow will mark Brandon Routh final year with the series.
Details on how the Legends of Tomorrow writers plan to wrap the story arc of Brandon Routh’s Atom are currently unknown, though the former Superman actor is expected to depart the series in October. Now, Brandon Routh has taken to his official Instagram to share a photo of himself in the recording booth for Legends of Tomorrow, teasing “a fun little ditty” for his final run on the series.

In addition to reprising his role as Atom for Legends of Tomorrow, Brandon Routh will once again play Superman in the upcoming Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover. Details on what role the Man of Steel will play in the crossover are unknown for now, though Brandon Routh will be portraying the Kingdom Come version of Superman for the five-part event.
