Brandon Vietti Talks Possible ‘Young Justice’ Season 3

Young Justice has been off the air for 3 years and fans are still clamoring for a 3rd season. They’ve launched campaigns like the Renew Young Justice Hashtag and numerous petitions. It even reached the point to where known reviver of dead series, Netflix had to enter the conversation. Talks have slowed since then, but now it’s seems that they could possibly heat back up.

Shanlian on Batman recently had a chance to speak with one of the shows developers, Brandon Vietti. When asked if anything was in the works for a potential 3rd season of Young Justice, Vietti said this:

“If I do, it’s like all above my pay grade. If there’s anything going on it’s like way above me. It’s one of those things where like Greg [Weisman] and I developed a show, but with other people’s characters. You know what I mean? So, it’s not ours to go pitch. I wish I could tell you more. I wish I could say “Yeah we’re in talks!” But, I’m not in any talks. It’s not for me. It’s not my thing to go talk about. Maybe we’ll get some good news about it someday. Greg and I, Phil Bourassa, our character designer, We’re all anxious to jump back in the world. We have more stories to tell, we’d love to do it and honestly we’re on stand by until our bosses come and say “we want to make more””.

It sounds like it’s up to the higher ups at DC to make the call to bring back Young Justice for a 3rd season. If you have a vested interest in bringing the series back, I say keep doing what you’re doing by signing petitions and getting hashtags to trend on Twitter. It’s obviously being seen by the right people.
