Brenda Strong Joins ‘Supergirl’ Season 2

Supergirl will be flying into a new home this year as Kara Zor-El joins The CW with Greg Berlanti’s other superhero shows such as Arrow, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow. In the recent edition of Entertainment Weekly’s Spoiler Room, a fan asked reporter Natalie Abrams how the Season 2 premiere was, as press has received advanced screeners of the season premieres of the DC TV shows.

When asked, Abrams revealed that Dallas and Desperate Housewives actress Brenda Strong, has joined the series.

“The season 2 premiere is definitely a fun mix of comedy and action, along with a pretty surprising exchange between Kara and James. I can’t say more, but I can’t tell you that Brenda Strong joins the Supergirl cast in a recurring role — and she makes quite the first impression in the season 2 premiere.”

Could Strong possibly be playing “The Doctor”, the leader of Project Cadmus, which is taking a larger role in Season 2? Anything is possible and if she is playing that character, here is how the character was described as back in June when the casting call went out:

“The diabolical female leader of Project Cadmus who uses her surgical skills to implant prisoners with alien technology.”

Supergirl Season 2 takes flight on Monday, October 10 at 8/7c on The CW.
