Nightwing will be getting some new gadgets in Titans season two!

Brenton Thwaites recently teased some upgrades for Nightwing’s suit in the upcoming third season of Titans.

At the end of Titans‘ first season, Dick Grayson’s Robin costume was destroyed and we wouldn’t see Brenton Thwaites suit up as Nightwing until the season two finale. Like most of the DC Universe costumes, Nightwing’s suit is incredibly faithful to the source material even though we haven’t seen too much of it in the show so far.

Filming on Titans season three is rumored to begin sometime in the fall. It’s hard to imagine that the show creators would want to change too much with the Nightwing suit, but Brenton Thwaites recently told Rotten Tomatoes that we are going to see some upgrades in season three.

“We pitched a few ideas to change the suit in a way that we can still use the outline of the original suit because they are so time consuming and expensive to make. It’s better for us to enhance the one we’ve already got. We’re working on different ways for Nightwing to have more gadgets.”

Here’s the official synopsis for Titans season two:

In Season 2, following the aftermath of their encounter with Trigon, Dick reforms the Titans. Under his supervision in their new home at Titans Tower, Rachel, Gar and Jason Todd train together to hone their hero abilities and work together as a team. They are joined by Hank Hall and Dawn Granger aka Hawk and Dove and Donna Troy aka Wonder Girl. Although these original Titans attempt to transition into a regular life, when old enemies resurface everyone must come together to take care of unfinished business. And as this family of old and new Titans – including Conner Kent and Rose Wilson – learn to co-exist, the arrival of Deathstroke brings to light the sins of the old Titans which threaten to tear this new Titans family apart once more.

The series stars Brenton Thwaites as Nightwing, Anna Diop as Starfire, Teagan Croft as Raven, Ryan Potter as Beast Boy, Minka Kelly as Dove, Alan Ritchson as Hawk, Joshua Orpin as Superboy, Chelsea Zhang as Rose, and Iain Glen as Bruce Wayne.
