A new report claims that Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel 2 starts second unit photography next week ahead of the main production.

Now that the world is on the road back to normality, many film and TV production studios are pushing ahead with future projects. And for Marvel fans, that means work is being made on future movies and shows. And after the recent news that Zawe Ashton has joined Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel 2, a new report claims that work begins on Carol Danvers’ cosmic sequel as early as next week.

According to Murphy’s Multiverse, a notable site known for its scoops, second unit photography on Captain Marvel 2 starts next week. This means the crew will be filming aerial shots and outdoor plates for the sequel, none of the actors like Brie Larson or Zawe Ashton will be on set at all. The site was also careful to point out that the work being done isn’t to do with any VFX work. Larson previously teased that the film might expand on Carol’s role as a galactic icon, so it’ll be interesting to see how that ties in with the appearance of Monica Rambeau and Kamala Khan.
