Warning: the following contains spoilers for Captain Marvel starring Brie Larson.
After the initial end titles for Marvel’s new film Captain Marvel starring Brie Larson, fans are treated to two post-credits scenes, and yes, they do tease Marvel’s highly anticipated Avengers: Infinity War follow up, Avengers Endgame.
The first post-credits scene surprises fans with the Avengers themselves. We pick up with Black Widow and Captain America at the Avengers compound as they are looking at death toll counts from all over the globe caused by Thanos’ decimation of half of the universe in Infinity War. They’ve already found the pager Captain Marvel left behind with Nick Fury which James Rhodes interrupts to inform them has stopped working.
There’s an air of desperation here as Black Widow and Captain America convene with Rhodes and Bruce Banner around the pager, trying to make sense as to why the pager has stopped working. They’ve already bypassed the battery. Captain America offers the simple solution of turning it off and turning it on again, telling Banner to reboot the pager and send the signal again. Black Widow asks Bruce to tell her as soon as they get a signal, she wants to know who Fury was paging. To her (and our) surprise she turns around to see Captain Marvel has already arrived back on Earth and is standing behind her. Captain Marvel asks “Where’s Fury?” before the scene cuts to black.
It’s possible this scene could be set just prior to the events of Avengers: Endgame, or could actually be plucked from the film itself similar to how the mid-credits scene from Ant-Man featured Captain America and Falcon with a captured Winter Soldier from Captain America: Civil War.
The second post-credits scene is much lighter and fun compared to the first. It begins in Fury’s office we saw at the end of the film which is now empty. Goose jumps into and frame onto Fury’s desk and heaves a few times before vomiting up the Tesseract we saw the Flerken swallow earlier in the film.

Mississipi Grind helmers Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck have directed from a script written by Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Nicole Perlman and Meg LeFauve. Here’s the official synopsis:
Set in the 1990s, Marvel Studios’ “Captain Marvel” is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that follows the journey of Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes. While a galactic war between two alien races reaches Earth, Danvers finds herself and a small cadre of allies at the center of the maelstrom.
Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, McKenna Grace, Clark Gregg and Jude Law. The film is slated to hit theaters on March 8, 2019.
Following her debut in her titular standalone film, Brie Larson will return to face Thanos in April when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26, 2019, however, it remains unclear as to whether or not Samuel L Jackson will appear.
Plot details are still under wraps but the Avengers are expected to attempt to undo Thanos’ snap which gave way to the decimation of half of the Universe after the heroes failed to stop the Mad Titan from collecting all six Infinity Stones in Avengers: Infinity War. The highly-anticipated Avengers: Infinity War follow-up will conclude the previous 22 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe before Marvel kicks off Phase 4 with Spider-Man: Far From Home in July.

Here’s Every Hero Who Appears In The ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Trailer
Today, Marvel Studios released the first official trailer for Avengers: Endgame and revealed which heroes will likely be on hand for the re-match against Thanos.
Avengers: Infinity War united nearly every hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the showdown with Thanos and after a decade of films that proved to be an extensive roster. However, the Marvel Studios epic concluded with Thanos succeeding in his mission to acquire the Infinity Stones and use their power to erase half of the universe’s population, with many of the aforementioned heroes being included among the casualties. Fortunately, the original Avengers teammates survived Thanos’ decimation and it appears they will be joined by a few the new heroes who debuted since the group initially formed when they head into the second showdown with Thanos.
Iron Man
Captain America

Black Widow

Thor

Ronin

Ant-Man
After the mid-credits scene for Ant-Man and the Wasp, many were theorizing that the Avengers would have to rescue Scott Lang from the Quantum Realm and subsequently use the alternate dimension to travel back in time to defeat Thanos. While it appears Scott Lang managed to escape on his own, he may have brought the van containing the way to the Quantum Realm to the Avengers’ front door.
Bruce Banner
While the Hulk was absent from the first Avengers: Endgame trailer, Bruce Banner managed to make a brief appearance. The brilliant scientist could be seen assessing the list of casualties of Thanos’ decimation and it has clearly taken an emotional toll.
