Conceptual artist Andy Park has shared two more pieces of concept art that he created for Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War, which seem to confirm that Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man was initially supposed to be on Iron Man’s side.
The first image shows Scott Lang transforming into Giant-Man right in front of Captain America (Chris Evans), and it’s clear that he’s about to attack him. Meanwhile, the second artwork features Ant-Man going toe-to-toe with Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner).

Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.
Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo and starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Don Cheadle, Jeremy Renner, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Emily VanCamp, Daniel Bruhl and Tom Holland, Captain America: Civil War is available on Blu-ray and DVD.
