Seeing as we just received a trailer for Captain America: Civil War, fans weren’t expecting to see any new footage from the movie for a while. However, the Russo Brothers recently shared a video on their Facebook account, featuring an extended scene which sees General Ross explaining the Sokovia Accords to the Avengers.
As the two directors reveal in the video, the final cut will be finished in less than 2 weeks, since they’re currently putting the finishing touches on the movie at the Disney sound-mixing stage. You can watch the new clip in the full video below and sound-off your thoughts in the comment section.
“Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability. ”
Captain America: Civil War opens in theaters on May 6, 2016. Are you looking forward to seeing what the Russo Brothers have in store for us?
