Captain Marvel’s original cameo at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron has been revealed.

While it seems strange that Captain Marvel could have appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe a lot earlier than she did, the final scene of Avengers: Age of Ultron was meant to include Carol Danvers as part of the new Avengers lineup following the destruction of Sokovia. But thanks to a new post on Reddit, the version of that final scene at the Avengers facility with Captain Marvel joining the ranks has been revealed.

The Captain Marvel cameo in Avengers: Age of Ultron doesn’t feature an early costume or a notable actress, but it features a blonde stand-in for the role. Given that the rest of the team were all in full costume, if Captain Marvel had appeared she would’ve likely been wearing her iconic red and blue suit, meaning this was just a test shot. It’s still fascinating to see the long-term planning that goes into introducing a character into the MCU. Take a look at the test for the Captain Marvel cameo in Avengers: Age of Ultron below.
