Final ‘Cars 3’ Trailer Takes It To The Limit

CARS 3-628Disney Pixar has released the final Cars 3 trailer spotlighting the challenge Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) has as the old burnout attempts to return to greatness.

The third installment of the series will have Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson), now older, coming to terms with his own mortality as the franchise introduces Jackson Storm (Armie Hammer), a faster, sleeker millennial hotshot villain born with a silver spoon in his mouth set to rival McQueen. In addition, Cars 3 introduces Cruz Ramirez (Cristela Alonzo), a young Latino female racer and lifelong fan of Lightning who hopes to rejuvenate his competitive spirit as she redeems entitled millennials everywhere.

You can watch the final trailer below.

The film also stars Nathan Fillion, Bonnie Hunt, Tony Shalhoub, Katherine Helmond, Cheech Marin, Paul Dooley, and Larry the Cable Guy. Here’s the official synopsis:

Blindsided by a new generation of blazing-fast racers, the legendary Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) is suddenly pushed out of the sport he loves. To get back in the game, he will need the help of an eager young race technician, Cruz Ramirez (voice of Cristela Alonzo), with her own plan to win, plus inspiration from the late Fabulous Hudson Hornet and a few unexpected turns. Proving that No. 95 isn’t through yet will test the heart of a champion on Piston Cup Racing’s biggest stage! It is directed by Brian Fee (storyboard artist “Cars,” “Cars 2”) and produced by Kevin Reher (“A Bug’s Life,” “La Luna” short).

Cars 3 races into theaters on June 16, 2017.
