Catwoman alum Halle Berry has congratulated Zoe Kravitz for landing the role in Matt Reeves’ upcoming The Batman.
In a recent tweet, Halle Berry has given a shout-out to the recently cast Zoe Kravitz for taking over the role of Catwoman. Just a few days ago, Zoe Kravitz was cast as Catwoman for The Batman, which will see her starring alongside Robert Pattinson. Since then, Zoe Kravitz has been getting kudos left and right from Hollywood stars, including Michelle Pfeiffer, who also starred as Catwoman.
Now, Zoe Kravitz can add Halle Berry to that list, who posted a heart-warming tweet.

Halle Berry starred as Catwoman in 2004’s Catwoman, which was both a critical and commercial failure, and is considered to be one of the worst films ever made. Halle Berry also received negative feedback from her Catwoman portrayal, but has nevertheless always maintained a positive aura regarding her involvement in the film. Knowing that she still considers herself a part of the Catwoman, and by extension, the Batman family is a powerful statement.

Plot details for the film are still under wraps, though the project starring Robert Pattinson seems to be centered on a younger Caped Crusader as he tackles several of his more traditional enemies such as Paul Dano’s Riddler and Zoe Kravitz’s Catwoman. While Warner Bros. is set to restart the character’s story on the big screen, Matt Reeves has confirmed that his film will not be directly based on Frank Miller’s Year One comic. Matt Reeves’ The Batman is also allegedly the first chapter of a trilogy, much like the Christopher Nolan-directed films with Christian Bale as Batman.
