New concept art from Black Panther reveals an unused helmet design for Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Marvel Studios’ Black Panther features some of the most intricately designed costumes and suits in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and new concept art from the film shows off one of the unused helmets for Chadwick Boseman. Black Panther was given a new suit following his debut in Captain America: Civil War, with his sister Shuri gifting him a nanotech vibranium suit that folds away into his necklace.

Ryan Meinerding, the Head of Visual Development of Marvel Studios, revealed the alternate design for Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa on Instagram, showcasing the different textures in the helmet. The new art also shows how much vibranium is weaved into the suit, featuring even heavier detailing across the head, the mouth and the eyes. There’s also different texture around the nose, eyes and mouth than the suit we saw in the film. Take a look at the alternate design for Chadwick Boseman below.
