Charlie Cox commented on the rumors claiming Daredevil will make an appearance in Tom Holland’s third Spider-Man film.

While Charlie Cox’s incarnation of Daredevil was well-received, his time as the Man Without Fear came to an end when Netflix canceled the eponymous character’s series after only three seasons. However, a relatively recent rumor suggested Charlie Cox’s Daredevil might return for an appearance in the Marvel Studios and Sony’s third Spider-Man film with Tom Holland.

During an interview with ComicBook.com, Charlie Cox noted that he had not heard of those rumors. However, Cox actor added that if the rumors of the character appearing in Tom Holland’s next Spider-Man are true, it will be a different version of Daredevil:

“I hadn’t heard those rumors, but it’s certainly not with my Daredevil. I’m not involved in it. If that’s true, it’s not with me. It’s with another actor.”

Nonetheless, Charlie Cox stated that he would love to reprise the role of Daredevil opposite Tom Holland’s Spider-Man:

“Look, I had a great time. I’m so grateful I got to play that character as long as I did. Of course, I’d love to keep going. I’d love to be involved with it. As a fan of the Marvel movies, I’ve loved the little stuff where they pop up here and there but because we were on Netflix, we weren’t able to do as much for legal reasons, I don’t know why. But I love the idea of Jessica and Matt showing up in the background or Matt as a lawyer advising Peter Parker. That’d be really, really cool.”
